Hey! I’m Nicole, an 18-year-old girl from Tallinn, Estonia. I live right in the heart of the city, but I’m lucky enough that the forest is literally a 20-minute drive away—which is pretty much the perfect balance for me. I just finished high school, so right now I’m in that weird but exciting phase where everyone asks “So, what’s next?” every five minutes. I grew up speaking Estonian and English at home, and I’m trying to get better at Russian because, let’s be real, it’s super useful here. I’m that friend who is usually the calm one in the group, but if you get me talking about music or a good book, I won’t shut up.

Turns On I’m obsessed with the contrast between nature and the city. In the summer, I love taking the ferry over to the islands, renting a bike, and just getting lost for the day. Nothing beats the smell of the Baltic Sea and pine trees. When I’m home in Tallinn, I love hanging out in the Old Town, finding tiny, cozy cafés that serve really good cinnamon buns. I’m also a huge music person.

Turns Off I really don’t like when people are fake or when there’s too much drama over nothing. Life is too short to waste time on gossip or trying to impress people you don’t even like. Also, I hate the “gray season” in Estonia—you know, November and March, when it’s not winter wonderland anymore, but just wet, dark, and muddy. It makes me feel so unmotivated.
